There was no need for decorations at the wedding ceremony. The Air Force Academy Chapel provided a spectacular backdrop for the couple as they exchanged vows.
The bride and groom exited the chapel beneath The Arch of Sabers, a long-standing military tradition.

The couple wanted a fun signature drink that matched their color-scheme. Fruity blue Hawaiians did the trick.

The escort cards were a DIY project for the couple. To display the classic white cards, they popped the mirror out of a large wooden frame and replaced it with a piece of foam board covered in blue fabric. Shannon glued a small royal blue flower bead behind the head of each pin holding up the cards.

The couple chose a mix of centerpieces in various heights to add a little drama to the tables. For the tall arrangements, they used cream hydrangeas with lemon leaf and willow branches.

The shorter arrangements were a mix of white lilies, hydrangeas, stock, and lisianthus with blue delphinium accents.

The couple spotted their buttercream cake in a magazine and fell in love with it instantly. The topper and decorations were made out of paper and assembled by hand. The tiers were made up of two flavors: grand marnier with a candied citrus creme filling, and chocolate sponge cake with a dark chocolate mousse filling.

Peter traveled the world after college, but his high school sweetheart, Shannon always joked that Prague was "their city." She made him promise never to go without her. Six years later they finally planned that trip.

After a little time zone confusion the two scrambled to get to the Charles Bridge in time to watch the sunrise. They ran through the streets of Prague in an attempt to get there on time, but Peter convinced Shannon to stop at a nearby park instead. That’s where he pulled out the ring. For the next eight months, they planned their dream wedding at the Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado, while living in Texas.
